Thor Holvila 2405-11
Thors comment:
"This pot has been sitting outdoors in my garden since 2017. Not because I wanted to keep it for myself, but because I wanted to test it against the forces of the weather since it has gas bubbles in the clay. Gas bubbles are a potter's greatest fear since they are considered to "ruin" an otherwise smooth surface. Some say from an old saying that this can make the pot more prone to cracking. I consider myself to have disproved that after a seven-year long experiment in the harsh Scandinavian climate where shifts between frost and thaw are constantly occurring. Before this release, I refired the pot to get it clean from the traces that the years have given it. Once cut from a block of clay and glazed with a light brown glaze, here comes a Thor pot with a piece of pot history."

THOR ABOUT THE EDITION - "Straight Up
"When I started with bonsai pottery, I had the idea of making very clean and straight shapes in black and white. Before this edition, I opened the boxes of my first works that I still have, once rejected for sale because of the thickness of the walls - to get inspiration. It was a fond reunion. Some of them are included here in this edition. The theme is straight walls - no lips . Straight up."
