Thors comment:
"I have named this design Sigill, which in Swedish means "Seal". A seal has historically been a way of marking letters and documents with the sender or institution, as a certificate of authenticity. Much like how people in Japan use a Hanko as a signature. I think it gives the tree a legacy and weight. I have used a copy of a Viking coin from the 9th century as a stamp."

"As I will now have two exhibitions in Tokyo in November, this means that I have to talk about my art and in some way define who I am and what I do for the japanese public. Then the question arises, "What am I bringing to the bonsai world?" In the preparations for this, it came naturally that I summed up and crystallized some of the designs that that has been borned along my journey. My Trademark designs. The Skull, Borg, Gotham, Skull corner, Nidhögg, Yggdrasil, Sigill and Kings corner among others. They are all still evolving and are all unique, built from slabs and coils."
