Thors comment:
"The Skull" is a design I owe a lot of gratitude to because it was the one that largely made me "famous" in the bonsai world. It started as a customer order for a customer who had a real skull in his possession and asked me to make a version that he could plant in. This was in 2015 and I was still in my "Start up mode" taking all the orders that came my way way. There were quickly more orders and when I was standing with a collection of skulls at the Bonsai San show in France one year, a journalist from Japan took a picture of them which appeared in Bonsai-Shunju magazine #12 in 2016. This in turn led to that I was invited to work side by side with the legendary Shuho (Hidemi Kataoka) in Tokoname and the rest is history. There is a great demand for them, but I only make a few a year to be able to keep them unique."

"As I will now have two exhibitions in Tokyo in November, this means that I have to talk about my art and in some way define who I am and what I do for the japanese public. Then the question arises, "What am I bringing to the bonsai world?" In the preparations for this, it came naturally that I summed up and crystallized some of the designs that that has been borned along my journey. My Trademark designs. The Skull, Borg, Gotham, Skull corner, Nidhögg, Yggdrasil, Sigill and Kings corner among others. They are all still evolving and are all unique, built from slabs and coils."
