"This little pot is actually a glaze sample. I often make these as it is difficult to get an idea about the glaze from a flat sample. That is also why it bears my big chop on one front."

THOR ABOUT THE EDITION - "Jul"
"This year has been one of the most turbulent in my life with a lot of joy but that ended with sorrow. I was therefore working with the theme "Black flowers" in the back of my head the whole time. But when it was time to glaze, I realized that the dark theme was draining my energy and thus creativity. I even started to doubt myself and with that came difficulty after difficulty. I therefore decided to change the name to "Jul", as Jul/winter solstice, is here and we are heading towards brighter times. Outside the window, the magpies are now starting to build their nests and the days are getting longer and brighter. Let my tree sculpture symbolize the growth that are awaiting us. God Jul to you all."
